Over the last two decades, the use of energy-based healing in modern medicine has gained wide acceptance for its effectiveness. Research into the healing influence of the human energy field has prompted many universities to establish professional training for nurses in holistic healing and leading North American hospitals to incorporate energy-based therapies into their post-operative treatments.
Susan Morales, the founder of Clearwell, is a pioneer in complementary therapy education and research. As a member of the Advisory Board for the Exploratory Center for Frontier Medicine at the University of Connecticut; the International Director of the American Holistic Nurses association; and a Professor of Nursing, she has been instrumental in changing the attitude of medical professionals towards what was once dismissed as mysticism.
Designing Clearwell as a re-integrating mind-body treatment regime specifically for people undergoing plastic surgery, Morales begins the process by working with patients in their home to help them relax, prepare emotionally for surgery using visualization techniques and receive an initial energy treatment.
A registered nurse is there for patients during and after surgery. Clearwell's team of certified Healing Touch professionals provides energy field treatments that help reduce tension and surgical stress to tissue. Patients receive an hour-long treatment in the recovery room to accelerate healing and reduce any side effects of anaesthesia, as well as a series of hour-long, post-operative home treatments to help them return more quickly to their normal routine.
