STRAIGHT TALK. HONEST ANSWERS. CARING IN EVERY WAY ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK.
When is the best time for cosmetic facial surgery?
When a particular area on the face has been a long-standing concern to a patient.
When a patient's outer appearance no longer reflects their inner spirit.
What's to be expected during the first session of the consultation process™?
Patients should be prepared to discuss the exact facial improvements they hope to achieve during this initial planning and information session. Once their goals are determined, age, general health, bone structure and signs of aging or concern will be assessed.
Photographs are taken at this time to study facial features and help plan specific surgical treatments.
Please remember that the goal of The Consultation Process™ is to provide Primary and
Secondary Opinions to patients considering Cosmetic Nasal Surgery; Reconstructive Nasal Surgery; Revision Rhinoplasty; Facial Rejuvenation Surgery, as well as minimal and non-invasive treatments.
What's to be expected during the second consultation, or the planning session™?
Photographs are used to illustrate where incisions will be made and what changes should be expected.
A date for surgery is set.
Consent forms are signed and detailed information on post-operative care is shared with the patient.
How much time off work will I need?
Usually 1 to 2 weeks, occasionally 3 weeks.
  Will I be in hospital?
Surgical procedures are performed at ™, our private facility, on an outpatient basis. Patients usually return home the same day, but those having longer or several procedures as well as out-of-town patients may require a one-night stay.
Does scheduling surgery take a long time?
Every effort is made to accommodate a patient's specific requests, but booking early is always preferable.
Can I talk to Dr. Adamson's former patients?
We encourage pre-surgery research at our clinic and view these kinds of discussions as an important step to alleviating many of the fears new patients experience. Our staff will gladly set up an information interview for you upon your request.
  What's the cost?
Fees vary and can range from several hundred dollars for simple procedures to several thousand for facial rejuvenation.
Surgical fees include the surgical component of any operative procedures, all post-operative care related to the procedure, the professional component of touch-up work that may be required, post-operative makeup and skincare consultations.
Facility fees for ™ cover clinic costs, nursing fees for dedicated nursing care and anaesthesia fees for anaesthesiologists.
The Overnight Package™ covers facility and nursing fees for overnight stay at ™.
Fees are payable in advance of surgery by Visa, Mastercard or cash. GST is applied to all fees.
  Will insurance cover any this?
Cosmetic facial surgery is not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). OHIP will cover reconstructive surgery required to improve function, relieve symptoms or repair the effects of injury.
Cosmetic facial surgery expenses are eligible for a medical tax credit with Revenue Canada.
